Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Greatness In Simplicity Initiative (“GSI”, “we”, “us”), a nonprofit registered in Nigeria under RC 8866318, handles information connected with this website.
1. Information you choose to provide
The contact form asks for your name, email address, area of interest, message, and consent. The website does not send that information to a GSI server or save it in browser storage. When you submit, the site prepares a WhatsApp message and opens WhatsApp; you decide whether to send it.
2. Information handled by third parties
If you continue to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, or another external service linked from this site, that provider may process account, device, usage, and communication data under its own privacy policy. This site is hosted on Google Blogger. Google/Blogger may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, cookies or similar technologies, and access time for security, service delivery, abuse prevention, and platform operation under Google’s applicable policies.
3. How GSI uses messages
When you voluntarily send a message to GSI, we may use it to respond, evaluate programme or volunteer interest, discuss partnership or sponsorship, maintain appropriate records, prevent misuse, and meet legal or safeguarding duties.
4. Legal basis and consent
Depending on the context, processing may be based on your consent, steps taken at your request, GSI’s legitimate nonprofit interests, safeguarding needs, or a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent for future processing, although this does not affect earlier lawful use.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with authorised team members, service providers supporting our work, programme partners where necessary and disclosed, or authorities when required by law or to protect someone from harm.
6. Retention and security
GSI aims to retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, disputes, or safeguarding. We use proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, but no digital communication method is completely secure.
7. Children and safeguarding
This website is not designed to collect information directly from children. A parent, guardian, school, or responsible adult should use official GSI channels for enquiries involving a person under 18. Never send sensitive details about a child through the general form. See our Safeguarding Statement.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable Nigerian data protection law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to the relevant supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
GSI does not intentionally add its own advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies through this custom theme. Blogger/Google may use technical cookies or similar technologies needed to operate and protect the hosted service, and external services may use their own cookies when you visit them. If GSI later adds optional analytics, advertising, or embedded services, this Policy and any required consent controls should be updated first.
10. Contact and updates
For a privacy request, use our contact form and select “General enquiry”, or contact us through an official GSI channel. We may revise this Policy and will post the updated date here.
